Ночная Божественная Литургия

По доброй традиции храма Почаевской иконы Божией Матери в Норт-Порте каждый первый день нового месяца начинается с ночной Божественной Литургии. Помимо красоты и особой атмосферы ночной молитвы, такая служба имеет и практические преимущества: многие, помолившись на ночной литургии, получают возможность посвятить день своим обязанностям и труду.

Накануне, в пятницу, иеромонах Аркадий совершил Вечерню и Утреню. На клиросе пел братский хор. По сложившейся традиции кафизмы читали прихожане и гости храма — на английском и церковнославянском языках.

В этот день Православная Церковь чтила память святого преподобного Макария Великого Египетского, подвижника Церкви.

На ночную службу собралось немало прихожан и гостей прихода. Божественную Литургию совершали архимандрит Стефан, иеродиакон Паисий и диакон Александр. Богослужение украсило пение трио в составе иеромонаха Аркадия, Наталии Клюсовой (регента) и Ларисы Бирман.

Во время Литургии возносились особые прошения о приобретении нового места для монастыря, о здравии болящих и о других нуждах.

В завершение Литургии настоятель храма пожелал всем помощи Божией в новом месяце, подчеркнув важность молитвы и благословения в делах каждого христианина.

According to the good tradition of the Church of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God in North Port, every first day of the new month begins with a night Divine Liturgy. In addition to the beauty and special atmosphere of nighttime prayer, such a service also has practical benefits: many, having prayed at the night Liturgy, have the opportunity to dedicate the day to their duties and work.

On the eve of the service, on Friday, Hieromonk Arkadii conducted Vespers and Matins. The brotherhood choir sang on the kliros. According to established tradition, the kathismas were read by parishioners and guests of the church—in both English and Church Slavonic.

On this day, the Orthodox Church commemorated Saint Macarius the Great of Egypt, a great ascetic of the Church.

A significant number of parishioners and guests gathered for the night service. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Archimandrite Stefan, Hierodeacon Paisios, and Deacon Alexander. The service was adorned with the singing of a trio consisting of Hieromonk Arkadii, Natalia Klyusova (the choir director), and Larisa Birman.

During the Liturgy, special petitions were offered for the acquisition of a new location for the monastery, for the health of the sick, and for other needs.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, the rector of the church wished everyone God’s help in the new month, emphasizing the importance of prayer and blessing in the life of every Christian.
